Introducing Lift Bridge Furniture!

I’ve had a bad back for the last 20 years, during which I spent the majority of that time sitting, working on a computer all day, and ultimately making the problem worse. I was determined to find a better way to work, and spent the last year and a half of my life designing, building, making tweaks, and using the Lift Bridge Workstation in my daily routine. I’ve gone from not being able to stand for 10 minutes to easily being able to stand for 8-10 hours a day. I’m not 100% cured, but my life has improved dramatically. I can play with my kids and move around like a normal person again. It’s truly incredible how much my life has changed since I started using this workstation, so I feel compelled to share this with the world so that others can share in the same experience.

I’m super excited to team up with other makers and woodworkers around the world to help launch Lift Bridge Furniture and improve the way we work! ┬áMore details to come.

Be well!

I am interested in learning more about your concept, and how it could help me where can I find out more, including the financial cost & benefits

Hi Mark – you can find more info on how I came up with the workstation concept in the following article: It’s still a little early yet to know what the financial cost will be because we’re still in the process of completing the build plans and adding new makers to our system that will build this furniture locally. Each maker will be able to charge whatever price they want so you’ll likely see some price fluctuation from maker to maker. The plans for the desk are available now on the site and we should have the plans for the rolling monitor stand and inversion chair ready fairly soon. In addition to the workstation, we’ll be adding other furniture items down the road as well. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions. Thanks!

I purchased your plans for your shop setup and am getting started on that. I would really like to get your plans for the desk and workstation. Could you possibly share or sell a copy of those plans so that I can begin building my own workstation. I am a computer programmer for many years, a pharmacist and have had lower back pain for many years that resulted from me falling off a hay truck, semi, as a teenager. I have an inversion table which I love but would really like to not only have a workstation like you have designed but also possibly provide one as a perk for my developers.

        Thank you,

          Hi Rob,

The plans for the Standing Desk are available in the Plans section of this site but the rolling monitor stand and inversion chair plans are still in the works. I was hoping to have those done by now but I spent the last 3 weeks in Germany having back surgery (2-level ADR at L3/4 and L4/5) and am still trying to get caught up with other work. I’m hoping to get back to those plans and get them released later this summer after getting caught up with other things. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
